We will begin today’s study at this level of awareness or understanding:  “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11, NKJV)

Think about that: The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead, is the same Spirit who is living on the inside of us.  It is the same Spirit who is empowering us to live victoriously each day.  It is the same Spirit who is making all things new in our life.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who livebut Christ lives in meand the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Are you now fully convinced that you are not living this new life in your own strength? As a matter of fact, you cannot do so in your own strength or ability.  The good news is that our Heavenly Father has not abandoned us; neither has He left us as orphans.  He has sent the Holy Spirit to help us; to be our teacher; our advocate; our intercessor; our standby; our guide.

We have been instructed to put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24, NKJV)

What are the things that we need to put off?
The answer to that question is found in Colossians 3:5-9:
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

What are the things that we need to put on?
We need to “put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:12-16)

Love: One size fits all! (Above all these things that we need to put on, it is imperative that we put on and keep on LOVE!

Colossians 3:14, AMP: “And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].”

Everything takes on a different perspective once it is viewed through the eyes of God–the eyes of love! Because love covers; it is kind; it is patient; it is not rude; it does not behave itself unbecomingly; it takes no account of the evil done to it; it is not touchy, fretful or resentful. (See 1 Corinthians 13)

God makes all things beautiful in his time!
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy]“, Ecclesiastes 3:11, AMP

As I close, I’ll share the words of this song with you as a testimony of God’s great love.

Beautiful, beautiful
Jesus is beautiful
And Jesus makes beautiful
Things of my life.

Carefully touching me
Causing my eyes to see
And Jesus makes beautiful
Things of my life.
Remember, we are God’s workmanship. We have been created in Christ Jesus to do good works! I look forward with great expectation and excitement to behold all the new things that are about to manifest in our lives!
