Who Is Heather Edwards?

Heather R. Edwards is a proud native of the beautiful island of Jamaica. Her childhood was spent in Race Course, Clarendon, surrounded by lush vegetation and the cool, crisp waters of the Caribbean Sea. 

In 2000, Heather Edwards proudly earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies from New York University, laying the foundation for her academic pursuits. 

2002 marks the genesis of Heather’s ministry journey, as she heeded the divine call, relinquishing her role as a teacher in the New York City Department of Education to enroll at Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. 

Upon graduation in 2004, Heather Edwards returned to her home state and church, Christ Alive Christian Center, Bronx, NY, where she faithfully utilizes her gifting to serve the Body of Christ in the Prayer Room Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Hospitality, and as a teacher in New Believers Class. Her faith and leadership shine brightly in this sacred space. As an effective communicator of the Word of God, she uses her gift for writing to direct the hearts of her readers to the heart of our Father God.

 
Heather Edwards is an Ordained Minister through Rhema Ministerial Association International.

A Teacher and Writer

Continuing her quest for knowledge, Heather Edwards achieved her Master of Science Degree in Childhood Education in 2009 at the illustrious Mercy University, formerly known as Mercy College. This solidified her commitment to lifelong learning and her passion for teaching.

Heather Edwards’ gift of teaching however, is not confined to service within the church but extends to Public Schools in New York City. There she serves children and as an educator, she has coached teachers in Kindergarten through Grade 2 in Reading. 

Beyond academia, Heather Edwards is a published author, having penned two books that reflect her deep insights and creativity. One of which is an inspirational journal, Eternal Treasures: Your Channel to Success with God and the other, a children’s book titled “Snowy Imprints”. Her literary contributions are a testament to her diverse talents.

When Heather isn’t teaching in the classroom or enthusiastically contributing to various church activities, you’ll often find her savoring the tranquility and beauty of her beloved sanctuary, The New Botanical Garden. The garden exudes a captivating grandeur that deeply enchants her, serving as a vivid testament to the creative essence of our God. 

In her leisure time, Heather finds joy in crafting, particularly in the art of jewelry making and crochet. These creative pursuits not only offer relaxation but also showcase her artistic flair. 

Heather Edwards’ deepest passion lies in imparting the unchanging truths found within the pages of God’s Word. She has witnessed firsthand the profound impact both of the written and spoken scripture, as it possesses the remarkable ability to not only transform lives but also to mend the shattered and replace despair with hope. Thus, her unwavering commitment remains to share the profound wisdom contained within these sacred teachings, enriching the lives of those blessed enough to receive them.
